Start of a process innovation project to initialize and implement digital workflows in shipbuilding production

The focus of the process innovation project is on the digital networking of production stages in shipbuilding production by transferring process chains into a digital twin. This will introduce new methods and concepts from Industry 4.0 into the production process, thereby increasing competitiveness of the company.

For this purpose, a new software solution will be implemented within the shipyard’s system infrastructure and a digital twin will be created as a virtual model of the productions process. VR technology will also be introduced within the project in order to be able to visualize the status of order processing achieved at any time.
